Parish Missions usually include preaching at all the weekend Masses to introduce the mission and invite all to participate.

Before the evening Mission Masses time is made available for Confessions and a meditated and chanted "Gregorian Rosary".

Note on Missions, Triduums and Evenings of Prayer:   Every session of a Parish Mission, Triduum, or Evening of Prayer includes the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Teaching in place of homily - except on Sundays.  Prior to the Mission or Triduum Mass an optional time is given for praying in chant the Holy Rosary lead by Fr. Al's meditated and chanted "Gregorian Rosary" recordings and during this time Fr. Al will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Length of Mission:  The five day mission can be abbreviated to a three or four day mission.  The four day mission on Mary's Call to Peace has also been shortened to the Trinity Triduum above, and can easily be expanded to a five day mission with expanded teachings on contemplative prayer of the Gospels and the value and need for fasting and penance.

Retreat Programs:  Fr. Al has given many retreats -- directed, guided and preached.  His preached retreats have covered themes such as contemplating Jesus in the Gospel of Mark or the Gospel of Luke, Jesus' Relationship with Peter, Jesus' Relationship with Women, Healing of Memories, etc.

Other Programs:  Fr. Al has adapted his themes or developed other themes and programs according to the requests and needs of parishes, prayer groups, and conferences.

Parish Coverage:  Fr. Al is available to offer parish coverage for a week or more while giving a parish mission or triduum.  Many priests today are alone in their parishes, and at times cover several parishes alone.  This coverage can provide them the needed opportunity to get away for retreat, vacation, or a welcomed break.
